Using an exclusive green building products formula, CertainTeed ColorMax FiberCement Siding is made up of a combination of recycled fly ash, Portland cement, wood fiber and specialty additives. Part of CertainTeed's line of environmentally friendly building products, CertainTeed FiberCement is lighter in weight, lower in density and offers the most authentic-looking grains and textures of any fiber cement siding on the market.
All CertainTeed FiberCement features a higher interlaminate bond strength than competing products and a Class 1(A) fire rating, is impervious to wood-boring insects, resists damaging effects of salt spray and ultraviolet UV rays, and will not rot.
The new ColorMax fiber cement green building products line includes: 7-1/4" and 8-1/4" Cedar Lap Siding, Random Square Straight Edge Shapes, Random Square Staggered Edge Shapes, 12" and 16" Cedar Solid and Vented Solid Soffit. Colors in the line include: Antique White, Autumn Red, Butter, Coastal Blue, Desert Gold, Heather, Heritage Clay, Linen, Merino Tan, Nantucket Gray, Newport Taupe, Olive, Pewter, Silverplate, Vanilla White and Wicker, except the Soffit which is Vanilla White only. ColorMax is currently available in these states: IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, SD, WI, WV

The ColorMax environmentally friendly building products offer performance and color convenience backed with an exclusive CertainTeed SureStart coverage. The warranty covers 100 percent of the cost of materials and labor to repair or replace the product, in the unlikely event a manufacturing defect occurs, with the first two years following installation. In addition to 50 year warranty on the board, the coverage includes 15 years on the prefinish.
With the contractor and homeowner in mind, ColorMax Prefinished FiberCement Lap Siding is prepared for handling by being shipped with a patented protective plastic coating system for finish protection during transport, handling and installation.
